Powers That Be – New EP out Feb. 12th, 2013
We’re excited to announce that Powers That Be, the moniker of London-based songwriter Tom Beecham, is set to release the 1st in a series of EP’s on February 12, 2013. Combining a multitude of sounds ranging from shoegaze, surf, dream-pop, brit-pop and 60s psych, Powers That Be is sure to draw the listener in within the first few beats of the first single ‘Valencia’. Gusto is the word that comes to mind.
A songwriter known in Seattle and beyond as leader of the critically acclaimed Raggedy Anns, as well as for singing in front of the Seattle Rock Orchestra, Beecham’s new work is even more ground-breaking and we are incredibly excited to have his new project as part of the DBAL family!
For more info about Powers That Be, go to the artist page or official site.

Breathe With Me
It’s official!
As you might have already known, our boy Charles Larson met up last month with KRTS in his Brooklyn studio to see if a collaboration could happen. What came of it ?
They ended up writing a song together – “Breathe With Me” – and it just happened to make the final cut for KRTS’ upcoming 2LP on Project Mooncircle. A few more surprises on the record are the talents of Stevee Wellons (KRTS mother) and Jon Hairston (KRTS brother) – nothing beats an album featuring family members. Not to mention KRTS’ unbelievable talent in writing songs, beats and lacing them with beautiful melodies.
Pre-order your copies of “The Dread Of An Unknown Evil”
If you’d care to treat your ears to a snippet of what the 2LP sounds like, you won’t regret it.
Stay tuned – there’s more to come.
