Floodlights In The Sunlight is the debut album from Uncle Roman’s Jetboat, a collective comprised of British singer Thomas Beecham, formerly of The Raggedy Anns, and the remaining 4/5ths of indie-pop outfit The Kindness Kind: Charles Larson, Nicolas Danielson, Scott Teske, and Adrian Van Batenburg. Their single Fearless Like Yourself showcases the group’s talent for blending disparate genres and influences to fit their own unique vision.

The Kindness Kind and Tom first came together to perform David Bowie’s music with the Seattle Rock Orchestra at the Moore Theatre in early 2010. With the demise of both of their respective bands, the five decided to put their brains together and rise to the challenge of working new stylistic influences into what would eventually become Floodlights In The Sunlight.

Thus, the band is pleased to present an album that draws from such styles as Psych/Alternative rock, Tango, Reggae, and the kitchen sink. Floodlights In The Sunlight was recorded in a warehouse in Seattle during the summer of 2011, just days before Tom was due back in London. Although Tom currently resides in England, Charles now in NYC, and Nicolas, Scott, and Adrian remaining in Seattle, Uncle Roman’s Jetboat continues to collaborate and is hoping to bring their live performance to both sides of the Atlantic in the near future.
